Vocabulary: approx. 200 words, small talk, basic topics, the Russian
alphabet, first steps in reading, speaking, writing and aural
comprehension of Russian. |

Vocabulary: approx. 1000 words, small talk, topics such as “My family
and I”, every-day Russian, role playing games, communicative exercises,
phonetics of Russian, reading and writing techniques, intro to modern
Russian Civilization. Fundamentals for the Russian Language
Certification Exam TRKI, Elementary Level (A-1). |

Intermediate Russian (50-100 lessons) |
Vocabulary: approx. 2000 words, Russian in every-day and basic business
settings, extended communicative exercises, broadening of reading and
writing skills, modern Russian Civilization and history. Accomplishing
the Level A-1 proficiency, fundamentals for the Russian Language
Certification Exam TRKI, Basic Level (A-2). |

Intermediate High and Advanced Russian (course duration is generally
subject to individual arrangement) |
Selection of topics may include: art, literature, theater, cinema,
architecture, education, Russian and Soviet history and civilization,
Russian economics, media, philology, history of the Russian language.
Review of Russian grammar, morphology, orthography, direct and indirect
speech, punctuation, sentence structure, elements of stylistics and

Introductory Business Russian (30-50 lessons, designed for
Beginner Level) |
In
addition to the general introduction to the Russian language the
participants are introduced to the basic general and / or branch-specific
vocabulary and communicative exercises from business world-like settings. |

Intermediate Business Russian (approx. 50-100
lessons) |
In
addition to deepening and broadening of the general language competence,
the thematic focal points of the lessons increasingly shift to the
vocabulary, structure and style of business Russian. Simultaneously,
communicative exercises fit to the participants’ branch of work are
introduced and practiced. Possible selection of topics may include the
following:
-Making an appointment, booking flights, hotels and rental cars;
-Sojourn in Russia on a business trip;
-Welcoming of and meetings with Russian-speaking business partners;
-Basic phone conversations in Russian and

Intermediate High and Advanced Business Russian (course duration is
generally subject to individual arrangement). |
The course participants’ area of specialization plays integral role in
determining the thematic structure of the business Russian courses on
this level. Some of the most recent course topics have included such
areas as insurance, banking, metal industry, international shipping,
computer technology and others. Possible selection of topics may include
the following:
-Product identification and quality, pricing, packaging and labeling;
-Inquiries, acknowledgements, orders, contract forms;
-Planning and preparation of business trips to Russia (e.g., trade
shows);
-Business partner Russia: economic history of Russia, CIS, USSR;
-Judicial system, state and government, types of enterprises;
-Russian business mentality, experiences of existing joint ventures;
-Small business – large expectations, stock exchanges, vouchers;
-Advertisement, PR and media in Russia, brochures, layouts and
